2. Steel Frame Materials: Some companies use galvanized strip pipes instead of hot-dip galvanized pipes. While both are galvanized, hot-dip galvanized pipes have a zinc coating of around 200 grams, whereas galvanized strip pipes only have about 40 grams.
3. Steel Frame Specifications: The specifications of the steel used can also be an issue. For example, if smaller steel pipes are used or if the trusses are not hot-dip galvanized, this can affect quality. There have been cases where customers had trusses made from welded hot-dip galvanized pipes that were then painted, which compromised the galvanized layer. Although painting was applied, it did not perform as well as the original galvanized finish. Standard trusses should be black pipes that are welded and then hot-dip galvanized. Additionally, some trusses may be very low, while standard trusses typically range from 500 to 850 mm in height.
4. Quality of Sunlight Panels: High-quality sunlight panels can last up to ten years but come at a higher price. In contrast, low-quality panels are cheaper but have a shorter lifespan and yellow quickly. It’s essential to choose sunlight panels from reputable manufacturers with quality guarantees.
5. Quality of Shade Nets: Shade nets can include external and internal types, and some may also require internal insulation curtains. Using low-quality materials can save money initially but will lead to problems later. Poor-quality shade nets have a short lifespan, shrink significantly, and provide low shading rates. The shade curtain rods, typically made of aluminum, may be replaced with steel pipes by some companies to cut costs, compromising stability.
6. Glass Quality: The covering material for glass greenhouses is glass. It’s crucial to check whether the glass is single or double-layered, regular or tempered, and whether it meets standard specifications. Generally, double-layer tempered glass is used for better insulation and safety.
7. Construction Quality: A skilled construction team ensures a solid installation that is level and straight, preventing leaks and ensuring smooth operation of all systems. In contrast, unprofessional installations lead to various issues, especially leaks and unstable operations.
8. Connection Methods: Standard glass greenhouses typically use bolt connections, with welding only at the bottom of the columns. This method ensures good hot-dip galvanization and corrosion resistance. Some construction units may use excessive welding, compromising the steel frame's corrosion resistance, strength, and longevity.
9. After-Sales Maintenance: Some construction units treat the sale of glass greenhouses as a one-time transaction, offering no maintenance services afterward. Ideally, there should be free maintenance within the first year, with cost-based maintenance afterward. Responsible construction units should provide this service.
In summary, while there are many areas where costs can be cut, doing so often leads to various operational issues in the long run, such as problems with wind and snow resistance.
